Seals
Men, sign up now to join the team of those equipped to do battle. The newest group of Seals is organizing for deployment beginning January 9 from 6:15 to 7:30 am every Monday morning. The only cost to you is sleep and $32 for the cost of the book, "Systematic Theology" by Wayne Grudem. Contact Jamon White at jamon_white@yahoo.com with questions.
Party with the Pastor
Our next Party with the Pastor is scheduled for Saturday, January 7 at 6:30pm at Pastor Bryan and Lindsey's house. This event gives those new to Harvest an opportunity to meet the leadership of HBC Austin and gives us a chance to get to know you. We'll provide the food and fun and all you need to bring is yourself and a desire to fellowship. Please be aware that this is a "Grown Ups Only" event due to the lack of facilities to care for groups of children. Harvest 101
Harvest 101 is a class for those interested in pursuing membership here at Harvest Austin. We'll provide details regarding the scriptural foundations upon which we're built and introduce you to the qualifications and expectations of church membership. The next session is scheduled for Thursday, January 26 from 6:30 to 9:00 pm at the church office. Child Care volunteers
Calling all those who love kids! Occasionally our elders, pastor and their wives need to meet to pray and study to better prepare to serve God and us as His church. While it doesn't often happen that they all get together at the same time, it would be a real blessing to them if we have a list of those who are willing to serve the body by spending time with their children. This also prevents a financial burden on those who serve us so lovingly. If you are willing to be put on a rotation list to help out in this way please contact Marla Kizer at mkizer@harvestaustin.com. By having a list of folks willing to be a blessing to our pastors/elders we avoid calling on the same individuals every time. Thanks for considering this opportunity for service.
Matching Funds Opportunity
Harvest Bible Chapel Austin recently received confirmation of our qualification as a 501(c)3 organization which designates us as a charitable organization. Many corporations require this designation to give them a sense of assurance that goods, services or monetary contributions are truly going to a charitable cause. If your company provides matching funds please consider asking them to match your contributions. The end of the year is often a good time to ask these questions so the contributions are credited for this tax year.
